If I could live anywhere in the world I would live in Los Angeles. Los Angeles would be the perfect place for me to live because it has everything I would want in a city to live there. Los Angeles has great weather, it has beaches, and it has lots of activities to do during the day or night.
Los Angeles's weather is very hot in the summer but if you get solar panels on your roof then you can power your entire house over the summer! This means that there will be no electricity bills over the summer. You and your friends can use any electrical device in your house without the worry of paying the electrical bill. In the winter it is very warm for a winter at 10 degrees Celsius to 23 degrees Celsius. This means that there wont be any snow. Having no snow means that you don't need to shovel your driveway, no snow gear (snow pants, snowshoes, gloves, etc) and you won't need to use energy to warm your house or car.
Los Angeles's beaches are vast because L.A. is on the west coast of the United States. Since Los Angeles is on the Pacific Rim the beaches are on the Pacific Ocean. The Pacific Ocean is the biggest ocean by far. It is 155,557,000 Square Kilometers. Also if you buy a beach house, wouldn't you like to wake you and see the ocean from your house? Wouldn't you want to watch the sunset over the ocean everyday? Well in L.A. all that could happen. Lastly you wouldn't have to worry about how cold the ocean would be because the entire season it will be 10 degrees Celsius at least.
Finally L.A.'s activities. L.A. has many great places to visit in the night or day. During the day you could go golf. Then go to one of L.A.'s many national parks. Next you would go to a zoo or aquarium. During the night you could go to the dock and ride a cruise while eating dinner. After a long day of activities you come back home, go to the beach and watch the sunset in the distance. Now remember that this was only one day. Think of the endless possibilities that you could do in L.A.
In conclusion L.A. would be the perfect retirement country for me. It has nice weather, a place to cool off (the beach) and lots of activities.
Water that is 10 degrees is still pretty cold. Too cold to swim in for long periods anyway. L.A. certainly has a lot of things that make it a great destination. I would have a hard time living in a city with so many people. There is a lot of concrete and little of anything else.
ReplyDeleteYou would want to retire there, but not live there when you are younger? Why did you choose it as a retirement location?
